MARAN CANOPUS

07 / 158,970gt 320,472 dwt owned by Maran Tankers Management,Greece. She was bound from
Rotterdam to Singapore when she landed her deepsea pilot at Brixham 22/3/2019. The setting sun
showed her up in the fog bank out at the deep draught pilot station 4 miles east of Berry Head.

1953 / 383gt built as a lighthouse tender and converted to cruiseship in 1999 for 12 passengers and owned by Polar Quest Expeditions,Sweden.She came fron Assens,Denmark to Dartmouth for a 2
day stopover, there are no passengers onboard and she sails for the Isles of Scilly this evening.She starts a 12 day cruise around the UK from Bristol 2/4.

2002 / 23,235gt owned by Foreland Shipping,UK and chartered to the MOD.She left
Marchwood 20/3 and anchored in the Deepwater Anchorage off Torquay 20/3.She is
having a stopover here and is due at Cardiff 29/3.

THE 3 MINEHUNTERS ANCHORED IN TORBAY OFF BRIXHAM

I think that yesterday was the first time a NATO Minehunter Group had anchored in Torbay
in the last 40 years.At the end of the month they will be in Scotland taking part in the Joint
Warrior 19-1 Exercise.

She anchored on the edge of Torbay.
