7029 CLUN CASTLE

She was built in 1950 and was allocated to Newton Abbot Shed for the first 5 years.Today

 she recreated 60 years ago 9/5/1964 when she took part in the Ian Allan IZ48 Railtour 

and did the fastest time between Plymouth and Bristol with  a top speed of 96 mph.Today

 she was doing the run from Birmingham Snow Hill to Oxford to Bristol to Plymouth and

 was going to be unassisted up the banks, she was going fairly slow by the time she topped

 Dainton Bank.
