COSCO SHIPPING NEBULA

18 / 215,553gt 21,237 teu. She was en route from Rotterdam to Suez on the NE3 Service
when she landed her deepsea pilot at Brixham today.The Universe Class were the 2nd largest
containerships in the world but since the beginning of the month they are now the 3rd.

GLOVIS SOLOMON

11 / 72,653gt 7568 cars Ex C LADYBUG 2014.She was bound from Vigo to Bremerhaven
when she boarded her deepsea pilot at Brixham today. With dims 232m x 32m she has the
 largest car capacity in the fleet.

BRIXHAM JETTY

This is not the new Northern Arm Breakwater as I have described it in many posts but it is the jetty for the Offshore Shellfish Ltd for use in connection with their mussel farm.

KINGSWEAR CASTLE

She is the UK's only coal fired paddle steamer built in 1924 with an engine dating from 1904.
She is owned by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society and is on charter to Dartmouth Steam
Railway and has operated on the River Dart since 2012. She does 3 circular river cruises each day
going out to the mouth of the harbour and it was on the 15 30 trip that she was photgraphed today.

THE WORLD

02 / 43,155gt 330 pass owned by Residensea Ltd,Norway and operated by Silversea Cruises,
USA.She arrived at Dartmouth from London this morning for a 3 day stopover and was
 supposed to moor mid river but the winds stopped her entering the harbour so she
 anchored at the Range.She left for the Isles of Scilly Tuesday night.

BUDAPEST BRIDGE

11 / 46,444gt 4526 teu owned by Seaspan,Canada and chartered to K Line.She was bound
from London Gateway to Norfolk on THE Alliance Atlantic Loop 1 ( AL1 ) service when
 she landed her deepsea pilot at Brixham 13/7/19.

10 / 52,726gt 5303 teu Ex Vargas Trader 16, CSAV Brasilia 15 and is still in CSAV colours.
She is now managed by Peter Dohle,Germany and had come to Southampton from Hamburg
 and is seen in the upper swinging ground being turned before heading for Singapore.
She is operating on the Hyundai AEX Service and this was her first call here.She is one
of a class of 4 ships which are the smallest twin island containerships.


IRMA

2000 / 21,387gt owned by Polish Steamship Co.She had come from Garrucha
and will sail for Dordrecht.

60163 TORNADO

At 1353 Tornado came back to Churston to turn on the turntable to face the right way for
the return journey and then headed for Paignton to coal and water before returning to
 Kingswear.

13 minutes after Dinmore Manor passed by Tornado passed on her way to Kingwear
with the Dart and Torbay Express from Tame Bridge to Kingswear which was steam
 hualed from Bristol.

She is spending the summer season here and is seen leaving Goodrington with the 1215
 Paignton to Kingswear service.
